Former Flyers Great Brian Propp Endorses Dr. Spennato
Philadelphia Flyers’ radio announcer and former hockey great, Brian Propp, has become a raving fan of Dr. Robert Spennato after receiving cosmetic treatment to correct a number of dental concerns he had. In radio spots that air during the Flyers’ Games, Propp says, “Hockey has been good to me, but it hasn’t always been easy on my body, including my smile. Over the past twenty years, I’ve been through my share of cosmetic dentists and let me tell you: no one comes close to Dr. Robert Spennato of Williamsburg Dental….”
Propp will also be featured in a number of print advertisements for Dr. Spennato in the coming months. Dr. Spennato is grateful for the kind endorsement from his new number one fan. “Brian is a real ambassador for the sport of hockey, and a generous, involved member of the community. To have him as a patient has been very exciting and gratifying, “ says Dr. Spennato. “I am particularly excited about the fact that he is raising the awareness of cosmetic dentistry options among men, who at this point are less likely to opt for these types of procedures than women.” A native of Saskatchiwan, Canada, Brian Propp was the Flyers’ first round draft pick after a legendary junior career, that resulted in him being named the greatest left wing in the history of the Canadian Hockey League (as chosen by a panel of journalists, CHL officials, and league historians). He fulfilled his promise by setting a record for the most points as a rookie in the 1979-80 season. During his 10 ½ seasons as a Flyer, his gutsy, creative play helped his team get to the Stanley Cup Playoffs three times and earned him four trips to the All Star Game. His total of 849 points as a Flyer place him third on the team’s all-time list behind only Hockey Hall of Famers Bobby Clarke and Bill Barber. He finished his 15-year NHL career with 425 goals and 579 assists for 1,004 points. He was inducted into the Flyers Hall of Fame in 1999.
Williamsburg Dental Featured on “Good Day, Philadelphia” Thanks to Satisfied Patient, Pat Croce
Cosmetic or aesthetic dentistry is no longer just for celebrities. But it doesn’t hurt to have a few public figures on your patient list to help spread the word about your practice’s fine work. And when that public figure is someone like Pat Croce, the word will be spread loud and clear.
Croce, former president of the 76ers, and current best-selling author and motivational speaker, has been a patient of Williamsburg Dental for over 10 years. Recently, he asked Dr. Spennato to replace an old bridge that was put in more than 25 years ago when he knocked out his front teeth playing football.
Croce was so happy with the results, he decided to tell a few friends. About 70,000 of them. When Croce was asked to be a guest anchor on the Fox Philadelphia morning show, “Fox Good Day Philadelphia,” he decided to bring a camera crew with him to Williamsburg Dental as he had his final bridge put in. The segment, which aired the following day, took viewers step-by-step through the process, with the always-funny Croce providing comic relief along the way.
How did the staff feel about having a television crew in the office? “It certainly brought some excitement to the day. But of course, anytime that Pat is in the office, there’s added excitement, given his big personality,” said Dr. Spennato.
The publicity the episode brought to the practice was well-deserved, commented Croce. “Given the amount of time I spend in front of a camera or at a speaker podium, my appearance is important. I wouldn’t trust my smile to anyone but Williamsburg Dental. They’re the best,” Croce said. click here to view FOX news clip
